The 2011 Guerin Memorial Essay Contest: Anyone from grade 7th - grade 12th who resides in Coos County may enter. The deadline is November 4th Essay topics (Please Choose one): 1) How do water conservation and farm use techniques in Oregon or Coos County affect water quantity and quality? 2) What can loggers and farmers do to benefit fish and wildlife habitat? 3) What conservation techniques can be used by the landowners in Coos County to decrease soil erosion?
